Thistle Dhu Bed and Breakfast is a 3 star comfortable non smoking detached family bungalow conveniently located on the main Glasgow Road A8, 4 miles from Edinburgh city centre and 2 miles from Edinburgh Airport / Ingliston, 2 miles from Edinburgh Zoo and 3 miles from Murrayfield stadium, there is an excellent bus service to the city centre and the airport.

Your host Mrs Margaret Simson provides traditional scottish breakfast as well as continental and vegetarian in a relaxed setting.

Thistle Dhu has it’s own free private and off street parking and a lovely spacious garden to the rear which guests are welcome to use, there is a large conservatory where you can relax after breakfast and plan your day or journey.

There is a good variety of restaurants within walking distance, also there is a the gyle shopping centre only a 10 minute walk away which has over 50 shops and a food court upstairs, everything from Next to Marks and Spencers.

Edinburgh is a vibrant city to see at any time of the year, but especially during the Edinburgh Festival. We are a very handy b&b for the Royal Highland Show, held nearby at Ingliston.
